Area artists paint the town during book signing

BOONSBORO, Md.—

Area artists set up easels and painted in the cold morning air Saturday as throngs of best-selling author Nora Roberts’ fans lined up for a noon book signing.

Promotions bill Roberts’ “Inn BoonsBoro” trilogy as being “inspired by the inn (she) owns and the town she loves.” The inn referenced is the boutique-style bed-and-breakfast hotel of the same name as the trilogy on the square in Boonsboro. “Off Track Art” is an artists’ co-op and gallery located in the historic Liberty Building at 11 Liberty Street – next to the railroad tracks, off of the Sentinel parking lot at the corner of West Main St and MD 27-Liberty St - in historic downtown Westminster, Carroll County Maryland.

Because I really enjoy and appreciate collaborative art, every reasonable effort has been made to trace the owners of copyright materials on this website, but in some instances this has proven impossible.

I have spent my entire in public service as an artist, writer, and an elected or appointed government official. I have created intellectual property all my life. “Off Track Art” is an artists’ collective and gallery located in the historic Liberty Building at 11 Liberty Street – next to the railroad tracks, off of the Sentinel parking lot at the corner of West Main St and MD 27-Liberty St - in downtown Westminster, Maryland.

We are dedicated to advancing the arts in Westminster as well as the careers, ideas, and artistic visions of its members.

Tentative Gallery Hours are: Monday through Wednesday 12 - 6:00 pm Thursday and Friday 12 - 7:00 pm Saturday 10 - 5:00 pm

Grand Opening is scheduled for Feb. 13th, 2009 5:30 to 7:30 pm.
