Christina Collins-Smith is an arts advocate, artist, poet, educator, and cultural events coordinator, who earned her BA and MLA degrees concentrating in Studio Art, Art History, Cross-Cultural Studies, and Writing at McDanielCollege in Westminster, Maryland.
She is currently an adjunct faculty member of the Division of Fine and Performing Arts at Carroll Community College, serves on the Boards of Directors of Carroll Media Communications, and The Cumberland Cultural Foundation - C. William Gilchrist Museum of the Arts, is the co-founder of Common Ground on the Hill's Roots Music & Arts Festival (now retired from that Board as a Director Emeritus), and is the Founding Director of OneTree Productions.

Lyndi Steward McNulty, a prize winning artist, has been an artist since she was four years old. Her style has been the same since she began to paint in high school. Bright colors and abstract design elements are typical of her work.
She is most influenced by Theophile Steinlen, Alphonse Mucha, Theberge and Franz Marc. Her favorite subjects are animals and local farm scenes in Carroll County, Maryland.
McNulty has studied fine art at the Maryland Institute College of Art, MiddleTennesseeStateUniversity, and SouthwestCraftCenter in San Antonio, Texas and the Rochester Institute of Technology. She holds and M.S. from The Johns Hopkins University and an M.L.S. from the University of Oklahoma.
She has also done design work professionally, both as an airbrush artist and as a commercial design artist. She has worked as a museum curator, not only curating the collection, but also designing and installing the exhibits for three museums.
McNulty has owned Gizmos Art for nearly 30 years, a business started by her mother Betty McNulty, where she does custom framing and the restoration of paintings, paper, photographs, and frames and appraisals of all kinds.

Get lost this fall at the 2010 CarrollCountyAgricultureCenter corn maze.
Authorities have identified the crop circles found outside of Westminster as the work of Carroll County Ag Center volunteers and not the work of space aliens.

Beginning Friday, September 10, 2010, the Ag Center will feature over 2 miles of trails creatively carved out of acres of seven-foot tall corn just outside of Westminster.
It has been six years since a maze was artfully carved into the crop fields at the Ag Center. In 2004, over 3,300 folks visited.
The theme of this year’s maze is a celebration of CarrollCounty’s agricultural heritage. A cornucopia of grapes, an apple, a banana, pumpkin, and squash have carefully been carved into the field for hours of family fun.
Come test your navigational skills. Get off the couch, turn off the TV, get out of the house and enjoy the fresh air and support a worthy cause, the Carroll County Agriculture Center, home of the nationally known Carroll County 4-H and FFA Fair.
Public hours are Friday and Saturday nights from 5 PM to 9 PM and Sunday afternoons from 2 PM to 6 PM. The maze will be open weekends until October 31, 2010 and will feature a haunted maze on October 29th and 30th, 2010.
Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for ages 3 to 12. Group prices and times are available, call 410 848-6704.

This event is to benefit the CARROLL COUNTY AGRICULTURE CENTER, Inc. The CarrollCountyAgricultureCenter is the site of the 50,000 square foot Danele Shipley Memorial Arena, as well as numerous other meeting facilities, function and banquet rooms and outdoor facilities. Located in central CarrollCounty, the AgricultureCenter also helps meet the needs of our neighbors in Baltimore, WashingtonD.C., and southern Pennsylvania. The facilities are designed to host a wide variety of events from livestock shows to entertainment events, trade shows and exhibits. The AgricultureCenter is also the permanent home of the CarrollCounty 4H & FFA Fair.
Over the last year and three-quarters that I have been a partner in a downtown Westminster business, an art studio, Off Track Art; I have been delighted to have had the opportunity to become reacquainted with the latest in fashion and style.
This example, of a young man that walked by the shop on September 4, 2010, is really stylin’; except he could hardly walk in his cutting-edge stylin’ outfit. He was constantly tugging upon his trousers to keep them from falling to his knees or ankles and his step was faltering.
I stifled a chuckle long enough to capture this picture…
