IN the GALLERY at OTA:

The Sketchbook Project:  An exciting new project has begun in the gallery where gallery visitors, artists or not, can contribute their creative markings in a communal sketchbook.  Come in and see what others who have wandered into these pages have sketched out, cut out, marked up and pasted in.  Add to the thread or start your own thread.  Leave a pictorial message for a friend.  Look for the black-bound sketchbook in the gallery and join the fun while gaining insight and new ideas from the artistic mind!  ---The sketchbook, along with other artists’ sketchbooks coming to the gallery, will remain available for viewing.

Friday, Oct. 8th:  Robert Waddell will be working on collage as a part of an ongoing series or something newer than new.  Robert is finishing a fall series (not season themed) titled "Artifacts" which will be on display late 2010 or early 2011.

Wednesday, Oct. 13th:  Mary Decker will be working on some new watercolors, along with the irises and day lilies that she loves, she will also be exploring some new botanical subjects.

Thursday, Oct. 14th, and Friday, Oct. 22:  Come and observe Carolyn Seabolt do silk painting, a technique which she teaches at her studio, "Cat Tracks."  (Anyone looking to learn this process can take her class beginning in early January 2011 -- it takes four folks to make a class.)

Friday, Oct. 15th, and Wednesday, Oct. 20th:  Charlotte Laslo will be working on her jewelry creations using wirework and knotting techniques.
Friday, Oct. 29th: You can find Cathy Z. Sawdey working on drawings in the gallery.

Friday, November 5th:  RECEPTION for the artist, TERRY WHYE, will be held from 6:30-8:30 PM, where visitors will have the chance to meet the artist and enjoy light refreshments.
