“The 200” #amwriting I just had to edit 200 words from a piece in order to make word limit. It made me sad. 200 good, upstanding, and virtuous words made the ultimate sacrifice for that piece. 200 brave souls - now lost. As a matter of fact, one whole paragraph was heard to say, as I shoved them over a cliff: “I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain."
