Silently correctly your grammar

Silently correctly your grammar

Kevin Dayhoff Sunday, October 25, 2015

Oh my goodness. I have been doing this all my life – in spite of the fact that I certainly do not always use correct grammar. (Why do you think I like my editors so much?)

But all this morning at church, Sunday school, pastor’s study and at lunch; I have been “silently correcting grammar.” When I got home, I opened this awesome e-mail from Dave Selby and Sally Selby that had a link to this image. What a hoot. Thank you Dave and Sally Selby – this made my day.

Our home appears to be in a Smucker's Grape Jelly full state of emergency.

Our home appears to be in a Smucker's Grape Jelly full state of emergency. This a is a Smucker's alert on the code orange Creamsicle level. How can I possibly write anything without Smucker's grape jelly? The horror.

"Liz - you think that you hook me up with a fix?" he said from a fetal position on the floor of his stark, unforgiving office. A light bulb dangled from the ceiling as it winked at yet another Microsoft error box glaring from the monitor. He had fallen with his finger on the letter "q" and the computer was in the process of creating the 17th page full of the letter "qqqqqqqqqqqqqq....

Bachman-Turner Overdrive - Blue Collar

Here is a song off there first LP. BTO released their first album in May 1973. The band is from Winnipeg, Manitoba. I have always been a night owl. This was my anthem for many years and it may have been the first vinyl record I literally wore-out.

Sinking

I am slowing down
As the years go by
I am sinking

So I trick myself
Like everybody else

The secrets I hide
Twist me inside
They make me weaker

So I trick myself
Like everybody else

I crouch in fear and wait
I'll never feel again...
If only I could remember
Anything at all

Sunrise Opens Each Day With A New Beginning

http://www.augiesadventures.com/sunrise/

Posted by augie on October 1, 2015

By the grace of God the darkest of nights give way to the rising sun and another day. Sunrise opens each day with a new beginning, a chance to try again and build upon yesterday’s lessons.

This sunrise photograph was taken on Corolla Beach North Carolina. I had spent the night before sleeping under the stars on the dunes. I was on a 3 day drive from Westminster, MD to Hatteras, North Carolina. The world I had known was gone. Where the road of the future would take me was unknown. I was homeless, jobless and estranged from my children. It was the darkest of nights. That morning watching the sun rise above the ocean, I felt God’s hand on my shoulder. On that day I began the long journey to become the person I wanted, and I believe God wanted me to become. Today, a few years later, this photograph with my own personal quote has become one of my best sellers... http://www.augiesadventures.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/Soar-into-each-new-day1.jpg
